SA-10 Grumble (WIP)

Some images of the 5P85S type launcher of the SA-10 Grumble SAM system:

















Some textures are still lacking (the underside) and the interior (only the driver section as the gunner one will not be realized).
The specs as they will be in OFP once realized: please note that these results have already been attained, what's missed is just the vehicle:
- missile range 47 km
- target aquisition range 19 km
- missile max speed 1400 m/s
- the missile is launched vertically, only if the launcher is steady and positioned on (almost) horizontal and flat ground. When travelling, the launcher will have the launch tubes depressed as in the first four pics.
At first only the launch vehicle will be released, and only on this site.
When the aquisition radar and the tracking radar will be ready (and possibly the 5P85D launcher), the addon will be released also on the official BIS site. The final addon will consist of a squad formed by an aquisition radar, a tracking radar and four 5P85S launchers (or two 5P85S and two 5P85D) with 16 missiles ready to be fired, at a rate of one every 3-5 seconds. If the aquisition or the tracking radars get destroyed, the launchers will be useless. The targets will be aquired by the aquisition radar and passed to one of the launchers, which will fire the missile at it.
Please note that in modelling this vehicle I had access only to photos, and I couldn't use blueprints or sort of. So some measure or part of the model may be not 100% accurate.
If someone has detailed pictures, 3d views and photos (min resolution 800*600) of the 5P85D launcher (particularly the area behind the driver's cabin) and of the aquisition radar, please let us know or post any eventual link here.

Whoa!!! I've been under an ancient stone too long today, this model of the SA-10 launcher vehicles is excellent. Anyone gotten ahold of the radar vehicle yet, and what's the progress on the coding for it yet?

Look forward to seeing this in OFP and/or ArmA.

I have some good photos of the tracking radar vehicle: it utilizes the same chassis of the launcher, so the modifications to transform it in the proper vehicle are not too many. The aquisition radar utilizes almost the same vehicle (with two cabins), but unfortunately for it I've just one almost useless photo. The 5P85D launcher is almost the same as the 5P85S above depicted, except it has no command post behind the driver cabin, but another structure of which I've only a glimpse in a few pictures, that are not detailed enough to figure out how to model the part itself.

missile launch sequence
This one shows the Grumble's missile launch sequency. Better you watch it in slow motion, even if the video was recorded at one third the real time velocity (setAccTime was set to .3), or with a program like VirtualDub where you can play it back frame by frame.
Description of what happens, in terms of script working:
as you can see the top cover of the launch pod is removed, the missile exits the tube where it is meant to be, some (seven) fragments of the previous cover are created (with the 'drop' command) and launched away trying to simulate the cover breaking up. After a very short while you can see the missile wings unfolding: this is done with a setObjectTexture sequence as in OFP is not possible to define an animation inside another: the missile itself is animated, otherwise it would start and stay always horizontal. After about a second (0.35 seconds in the unralented sequence) the missile's rocket motor ignites, as you can see by the blueish smoke particles. The missile continues to unfold wings and starts turning towards the target: in this case it was fired at nothing.
Well, suggestions about improving the launch sequence wellcome.
