no im not dead. well..... ok maybe just a bit...... oh ok i am i would like to know what people would like to see in missions. i dont mean game play or anything like that. i mean something like this. bullet time. large tank battle followed by a fire fight with lots of men intro things like that. so put down what you would like. and i will have a go with making a mission (@ PSY|W... with a storyline! ) and i will keep updating it when people have some more good ideas... one more thing this mission i wont to be add-on free. though i may add the JAM_ units in there. i will keep you posted Psy|S out

Well if it has JAM in it, it's not addon free... For storylines, have a look in the OFPEC Mission Ideas. BTW: We're going to finish up with MCAR before I can give you any help with other projects, and this most likely goes for the rest of the team. Good luck with it, anyway, I will do my best to support it when I get the MCAR demo mission/ docs out of the way. ;D -Psy|W

No... Suites me... If it serves a purpose... And if the mission has a story line, wouldn't all kinds of intros , cutscenes etc. be almost a necessity ? Oh no... Not JAM... It sucks...

Only because you hate typing the JAM_7.62...5.56...14.2325235x22.3rds_SD_SS_SA_AP_HD stuff in the .ext/ ammo crates... Why? As Avon said on the official forums, "so many great addons, and so few missions to play them in" or words to that effect. I downloaded a 36MB addon the other day(s). On 45.3K. That only took two days (3.5 hours overall, but spread over 2 days). There are some addons that people are bound to have. On the other hand, the instant you make a mission dependant on addons, you are cutting people out of your target audience. But then again, the instant you make a mission in Resistance, you are reducing your target audience too, and I'm not about to go back to CWC (the original game)... -Psy|W BTW, I'll be using JAM2 in CAM:1. Not just because I like the new sounds/ RPGs (if you want weapons with new sounds, there are better addons for that... ECP recommends the INQ weapon pack). The reason I use it is because CAM1 uses the BAS Deltas/ Rangers, and requires JAM2, so I may as well use the JAM infantry, so that the rangers can nick their mags/ missiles/ riflegrenades.

And as they portrait every single american issue weapon as having no recoils and with accuracy and killing power that is not even close to realism... And then of course the eastern weapons are downgraded almost useless... But if it's required I don't give a rats ass, I have that d**n thing already anyhow... ;D Not including JAM ;D Yeah, I think AddOns should be used because the BIS vehicles and stuff are absolutely boring... And I can't understand the phrase "uses no AddOns!" because why there are AddOns made if it's bad to use them...

I think that the OFPEC has accidentally bred an anti-addon atmosphere (ironically ), since no-one will ever, ever seem to beta test a mission with more than 3 or so addons in it (even if everyone in the whole world, even 1.46 people, has all the addons). This is unintentional, of course, but people just seem more inclined to say good things about addon-free missions (for some demented reason) . Use HD. Then you can't hit a barn if you're standing in it, with all the doors closed... Yet an AI machine gunner can still hit me in the head from 100m when I'm moving at maximum speed, over rough terrain... Er... That's a new one... ;D Anyway, now completely off topic, shooting myself for breaking my own rules. /me shoots PsyWarrior -Psy|W

Yes, JAM 3 is welcome change to the annoying ease in which weapons are used. If you try to uzi off a bunch of rounds with a 5.56 full auto rifle, you'll have a lot of dispersion and the recoil will screw up a lot of potentially accurate shots.
Not to mention the m16 and a few other weapons have better sounds now.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents about it now.

An ancient discusion awakened Both PsyX dudes have not been OFPing in ages... They seem to prefer the ancient and crappy Freelancer.. Anyway, haven't tested the new JAM so can't say much about it... To be honest, I have not actually played OFP in years, apart from the MEC finalist missions.. And wasn't MEC happening like last year or something.. ;D One bad thing is that OFP doesn't allow sane dispersion.. What I mean is that if you fire single shots on auto mode you get the full-auto dispersion.. I don't think even ECP (no, I'm not mixing ECP up with JAM) 'fixes' this issue which has been one major gripe (at least for me ;D)..

They seem to prefer the ancient and crappy Freelancer.. OFP isn't exactly the newest game, you know ;D I'm not quite dead yet. Nearly there... The reason I don't do anything meaningful for OpFlashpoint is because I literally do not have the time... I can play Freelancer for a few minutes, but I haven't got the necessary hours / days / months / weeks to make anything for OFP. I'd love to get back into modding at some point, but looking through my schedule the way it is, it'll probably be a future 'version' of OFP (ArmA or equivolent)... -PsyW

I sensed a disturbance in the Code... I still play OFP and make small missions for my own consumption... Unfortunately, I don't have a spare 10 months to develop a releasable mission right now... I'll be back. Count on it... DISCLAIMER: No guarantee is given. Return of PsyWarrior is unlikely in the event of death, serious injury and offers of extremely lucrative but time consuming jobs. Timeframe for possible return is within 1,000,000 years.-PsyW
