Greetings,
This is fairly simple: Should the first combined arms mission use a custom character, created for the mission (like Dave Armstrong in the 1985 campaign) or should it use the character defined when the player first created his profile?
If we use a custom character (as defined in the .ext file), It would make it easier to use voice acting for the character. If we used just the player character, we would use titles with no speech (to give a greater sense of the player 'being' the main character).
Poll will continue for 2 weeks, mark (10:30 GMT, 03/02/04) EDIT: extended, 18/02/03
Thanks people,

It will be better to make our own person up. it will be better because we can give he a name. . the man that other people have made would have a diffrent name. so... ------------------------------------------- PsySniper ------------------------------------------- The end is near! -------------------------------------------

Greetings, Comrade!
Yeah, but we can work on that. Think of it in this way: You either play as a set character that we have created for the mission, in which case we'll do voice acting and stuff to make it more...immersive. Or you play as yourself, in which case we'll just use titleText (instead of giving the player a voice) and we'll refer to the player as just "Major" or "Sir".
If we create a custom character, It will mean a little more work, and it will push the release date back a little. But we're still on target for an OFPEC Beta release, without speech.
More opinions, people?

Wow, two whole people voted.
A custom character it is, then.
