Its a pity one noob who has never made an addon in his life can ruin a topic to make himself feel big.
Ermm, well, nobody thought of it before did they? Its benefitting the game, whats the problem with that?
ANYWAY, just come here to say im mightily impressed. Thinking it also might be useful in overcoming the other OFP game limitation, which is tanks with wheels. ATM the engine limits tank to having tracks, but it might be possible to config as a car but have the weaponary of a tank with this. ;D
I dunno, im not an expert on the game engine.
Anyway, just wanted to say, good work.

Thanks, pathfinder.
We appreciate some honest commentary on Project MCAR.
You may want to consider applying to beta MCAR for us, so you can see it's advantages and limitations firsthand.
That is our aim ;D

Excellent work, gents.
Jerks/Jacks comments notwithstanding, your work will be greatly appreciated.
Those of us who are constantly striving to push OFP's engine to the limit, as we are at The Chain of Command.

Good work fellas. Operation Northstar has also been looking into this issue for our LAV vehicles and we have found a workaround for it that doesn't involve any scripting. It does however require a mod folder to be run. I will be watching this project closely.

And though not involved at all with WGL, I'm hoping you'll make your "technology" available to them so that they may make available a TOW-armed Hummer.

Crassus: our 'technology' will be available to anyone who asks. quakergamer and Bobcatt666 are evaluating it for their future addons. And, a note, I'm not such an expert to be compared to you, the CoC. I'd wish some of you experts would like to join the team, either to say our work so far is crap, and there's no need and purpose on develop it further, or to help us in such development
Anyway this project will be free to anyone when we can get on beta 2. Then the project will be 'open source': anyone could tear it apart, take what he wants, re-engineer it and so on. Our intention is to put the addon makers in the condition to realize missile car type units, before OFP2 comes out. We know that when OFP2 will be on the shelves our work will become obsolete. But at least addon makers would have the p3d models ready, to adapt them to the new engine.

;D "Crap"? Absolutely NOT! You're work will certainly allow for more realistic missions using the Command Engine, by allowing mission makers to incorporate real TOW units/ organizations.
Please feel free to post at our Forum; I am quite sure the real scripting "Gods"-- Dinger, Bnn880, and of course, Walker, et al.--will offer some constructive comments on your work.

Greets,
As usual HateR_Kint, superlative screenshots!
I'd love to see what Jack has to say about them...
But enough about Jack. Anyone caught talking about him from now on will have to be shot. The ministry of propaganda will arrive soon to clean this thread up a bit...
Crassus, if you're interested in getting your hands on a copy of our work, send me an IM, and I will be very happy to arrange something for CoC. ;D
That goes for any other mod makers out there - if you're interested, contact us!

Here are two screenshots: the first demonstrates the new tiltable missile for the Gaskin (missile model not definitive): the second one showing one F14 an instant before being hit by the same missile: I hope they show up, otherwise PsyWarrior, please, edit my post and host the screenshots somewhere [EDIT: By PsyWarrior: Nope, screenshots work fine for me]

Greetings, GrimmDraco.
We have not yet produced an Avenger platform, hence the lack of screenshots. ;D
The aim of Project MCAR is not to produce addons, as such, but to enable the real, skilled addon makers and teams to build 'Car' class addons with guided missiles. While we have no plans to build an Avenger HUMMWV platform, it is almost certain that a addon maker will do this when MCAR is released.
The vehicles seen in the screenshots above are really just test platforms, to show addon makers how our system can be implemented into their addons.
The Sa-9 Gaskin is the closest we've got...sorry!
