Greetings, *gets steel-toecapped boots* Yeah, WWII is good since the storyline has already been done... It also means we get to play with single shot rifles, which are also good for some reason The characterisation for this mission is excellent, so I think we're going to focus on telling the story (but PsySniper's the Director, so it's up to him). Look forward to it. Oh, and [glow=red,2,300]welcome to the forums![/glow] -Supr. Cmdr. PsyWarrior

hello right here we go! mission 1- you start off by collecting your group and going on a little patrol. but things go a little.. how should I put it. bad, wrong or evil. what ever rocks your boat. you make it to base 024 (little town) where you are attack by all different things. Air, Tanks and Men. you need to defend the town. after taking out all the units there mission 1 is complete. mission 2- you have discovered a enemy supply depot, fuel deport, dock and war factory. (spy. good little things he he ;D) your mission. take them out. you and a lot off others must travail to each place burning them all down and killing or destroying every thing there. once all buildings are destroyed mission complete. mission 3- you fine that hill base 13 (got to think of a better name.... starts thinking..... brain locks up : has been captured. this base is the main operation. and Im going to let you people think off the mission. you have 3 options 1) stealth mission. go in the cover or darkness and blow things up 2) full frontal assault on it. (but remember they will know you are coming ) 3) bad mission and change it to something else also Im in a bit off a hole. the map I was going to do it on has a big problem where you can only see a little distance. so I don't know what map to put it on. People?? need to know what map it the best to put it on. that's all. oh no wait. I need some good WWII tanks and air units. that's all

Mission 3 sounds very suspiciously like Combined Arms M01. You know, the one where the player has to attack a hevily fortified hill (more like mountain actually) using a combined arms assault. The player can choose to do a stealthy stealthy assault by the dead of night or an all out assault to crush the enemy. I vote for number 4. - Go back and think of your own idea. I approve of the hill assault idea in principle, as long as it's not to similar to anything else on release or in production. BTW, I would be glad to advise you about WWII stuff, if you want. -Supr. Guusfraba, people... Guuuussfraaba... Let's face it that during the 3 year life of OFP there's not so many ideas to build a mission from that hasn't been done already... And in general war tends be attacking to a place or defending a place... ;D (Hmm... This gives me an idea to start building a 360+ mission campaign that consists of 280+ missions of general monkeying/*****ng off around some base waiting for something to happen and about 10 missions of fighting and the rest are cut scenes or just missions where you move from a base to another... *gets murdered*) But I have to agree with PsyWarrior that the idea sounds much too similar so changing the hill to a town or even to a small island next to some bigger one or somtin'... PsySniperIf u haven't checked the WWIIEC already then do it now...

PsySniperIf u haven't checked the WWIIEC already then do it now... Yes! Make the hill into town or island (or something big). Muahahaha! ;D Sorry. And yes, the WWIIEC are pretty good.Like the other two missions, though, and the idea. Slow start, build up, then massive assault with accompaning carnage ;D -Supr. Cmdr. Okay,
You have several options. Since it's a WWII mission, it needs to be based somewhere where your action is likely to have happened. Possible WWII theatres where the sort of action you described may have happened are:
-France, 1944 (not 1939-40), mostly Northern. -Germany, 1945 - Although this was towards the end of the war, and the Allies were moving rapidly. -North Africa (Libya-Egypt), 1940-43 (would require significant changes to mission though). -Sicily, 1943. -Italy, 1943-1945 -Holland, 1944 (Battle of Arnhem - would require complete redesign of campaign, though). -Airbourne assault on Crete by German forces, 1941 (maybe... again, requires new mission).
Russia isn't really an option, since it would require every single thing about your campaign to be changed.
I think N France during 1944 should suit your needs (it's where Saving Pvt Ryan was set, after all). Search for a suitable map.

Is there actually any other WWII 'world' available than the one which came with Inv44 Demo? Or Sarugao, that has some beaches looking suitable for WWII landings... I haven't seen any other... At least not ones that are ready... They always tend to be some 0.54 Beta... (I think they'll be releasing 'Operation Flashpoint 4: The Dark Side of the Moon' before any of those 'worlds' are ready... Dedication is a dying trade... )
