Unfortunately, due to RL issues, we're stuck. From a report
made by Hater_Kint and HitSqdZulu: in the last MP
tests of about three weeks ago the vehicles seemed to
work correctly, targets were hit by the various gaskin and
tow humvees variants, but the repair script (the one that
allow a human player to fire the vehicle even if it cannot move)
didn't work. As said above, due to RL issues Hater_Kint hasn't
be able to put his hands on the code, till now. Unfortunately,
due to PsyWarrior's long absence, there were only two
person for MP tests available, that is the aforementioned Hater_Kint
and HitSqdZulu. Now that PsyWarrior seems to be back
the situation should improve. Anyway if some of you would
like to take part to the tests, you're wellcome, just submit
your request here and we'll arrange something: it's better,
but not vital, if you have DSL (which I haven't).
The vehicles work correctly in SP. If you're using these scripts
for your SAM vehicles, consider using the 'non-standard
Gaskin' guidance codes as they're easier to customize.
The 'Gaskin prop. nav. Ballistic' variant also has a true
tilting missile (no need to have a large array of differently
tilted missiles). It also makes the attacked plane to fire flares
(as now even Cessnas,
), and the missile may attack
the flare, that is it doesn't change randomly its direction).
Also, if you're doing tow humvees, use the 'real' code instead
of the standard one, cause it behaves almost just like the
real thing. The 'human player' variant has a true tilting
missile, but this can be very easily adapted to the other
scripts.
